Having three Grand Slam titles under his name, Stan Wawrinka is not much more famous than Roger Federer in Switzerland. However, Wawrinka has revealed that he never gets jealous about his compatriot, who has won 20 Grand Slam titles and stayed 310 weeks on the top of the ATP ranking table.
Even though Wawrinka has met Federer 26 times in the ATP tour so far, he defeated his countryman on three occasions, and it happened twice in Monte Carlo and once in Roland Garros.
Speaking about Roger Federer in a recent interview with Paris Match, Wawrinka was asked, are you not jealous of him?
“How to be jealous of one of the greatest sportsmen of all time? When I got to the circuit, he was already at the top. I had the chance to meet him, to win titles with him. It’s a huge chance to have been part of the same generation as Roger.”, the former World No.3 said.
