Sofia Open runner-up Vasek Pospisil rated the experience as one of the best in his career when he completed the first pre-season training camp at Novak Djokovic’s tennis centre in Belgrade.
World No.1 Novak Djokovic runs a tennis academy, which has eleven clay and three hard courts in Serbia.
During unprecedented times, the 17-time Grand slam champion has been giving a helping hand to several communities in need, especially his fellow tennis players.
Djokovic had invited compatriot and his ATP tour companions Canadian tennis star Vasek Pospisil and Bosnia’s No.1 Damir Džumhur for pre-season training camp in his tennis centre.
“Huge Thanks To Novak and Novak Tennis Center”: Vasek Pospisil
Even though the 33-years-old Serbian allocated three courts, he gave guidance to participants during the training sessions.
After nearly two weeks of practise, the former World No.25 Vasek Pospisil thanked Novak Djokovic and his tennis centre for kind hospitality.
The 30-years-old Canadian recently wrote on his Instagram account, “First pre-season training block completed! When I was invited to train in Belgrade at @djokernole ‘s academy with him & others, I knew the training would be great, but I did not expect the overall experience to be so impactful.”
When Pospisil was excited about Serb’s training centre, he noted, “I was blown away by the facilities, hospitality, attention to detail, and overall positive energy throughout the whole camp. This was the best training experience of my career, and I’m not a young buck anymore, so that’s saying a lot.”
While expressing gratitude, World No.61 went on to say, “Huge thanks to Novak, the @novak.tennis.center and all those involved who made this such a great experience.”
In conclusion, Vasek Pospisil expressed his eagerness to return to Novak Djokovic Tennis Centre, “I will be back! No doubt about it.”
