Former World No.1 Roger Federer finished this season with just a Grand Slam semifinal appearance due to his right knee injury. However, Swiss maestro was elected by fans as a favourite player of the year.
Roger, who is one of the most popular players in tennis history, is always liked wherever he plays because of his poetry in motion style and gentleman nature. Fans selected Federer for the fan’s favourite player award for the 18th straight year.
After he became the fan’s favourite player of the 2020 season, Roger Federer said, “Hey! It’s Roger here. I hope everybody is doing really well in a difficult year. I just want to thank you all for winning a fan’s favourite award this year again. Thank you to ATP and all tennis fans out there voting for me believing me and wanting to see me back on tour.”

Fans believe that the 20-time Grand Slam winner will return to the circuit through Australian Open 2021, but he still has not yet confirmed his participation.
At the same time, Federer recently began the pre-season preparation in Dubai, and he hopes that he would play in front of his fans sooner.
Roger continued, “I am training hard and making that possible, and I hope to play in front of all of you guys again very very soon. Happy holiday to everybody and happy new year, of course, that hopes all get better next year. That’s got to be a little more patient for now, and I can’t wait to see you all again very soon. So take care, and again thank you, thank you so much as you soon bye-bye.”
