Fabio Fognini, the Italian tennis professional recently revealed several interesting facts about Novak Djokovic and his playing style through his new book. The Italian wrote about the toughness with which Djokovic plays. He went on to say that the Serb ‘crushes’ his opponents with his solid rhythm.
Fognini is writing his autobiography My Life Between the Lines. He has revealed some secrets of the ATP from his experience. One of the highlights being his praises for his doubles partner, Djokovic.
“Novak Djokovic is tough. When you face him, he crushes you. His rhythm is strong that you can’t think.”, Fognini said.
Djokovic apparently has a nickname called ‘plastic man’ owing to his ability to play some amazingly difficult shots. His serve returns are epic and assured most of the time.
Besides, he explained, “Djokovic is called Plastic Man by many for his ability to bend like he was made out of rubber.”

Fabio also praised Novak’s determination during the game and said that it reflects in his eyes. “He has victory in his eyes and the world number one determination.”, the current no.13 added.
Very few people get to watch the star play from up close. But the 33-year-old has had the privilege of playing alongside Novak in the doubles. That is one of the reasons the former world No.9 dislikes playing across him.
“The fact that Djokovic is not only a player but also a friend makes everything more difficult. My best matches with him are the ones we were side by side in Doubles.”, Fabio explained.
The winner of the nine ATP singles titles also reflected on the Novak Djokovic US Open default as he said that could happen to everybody but never to him. World No.01 Djokovic defaulted from his US Open round-of-16 clash against after hitting the lines women with the ball.
