Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Andrey Rublev, which could be a fascinating quarter-final match in the French Open 2020. The match will take place on Wednesday at the Phillipe Charter court, and the tension will be high when these two will arrive at the court tomorrow. Moreover, both met each other recently in a final in Hamburg.

Andrey Rublev, the Russian who earlier won the contest at Hamburg, would like to extend his winning run against world number six.

Additionally, at the same time, the Greeks would like to take revenge for the loss in the finals at Hamburg. However, Tsitsipas had all praise for Rublev in the press conference ahead of the match.

“His Style Of Play Resembles Mine”- Stefanos Tsitsipas

He said, “Andrey and I, we played, and we evolved almost in parallel. I think he played a lot. He has more victories to his credit than me, and against me too, I think. What matters a lot to me is to seize this opportunity given to me to fight even more and achieve a better result. Sure enough, he’s a tough guy. He is tough to play because he has got a paddle in his game. And he is solid in all areas of his game.”

Moreover, Tsitsipas also said, “He improved his serve tremendously. He also has mighty punches. His style of play resembles mine. Mine is more about going up to the net, and I use angles slightly more than him. In any case, it will be difficult to beat him.”

Additionally, coming to Paris after being the runner-up at Hamburg, Tsitsipas had a tough first few matches at the Roland Garros. But, the Greeks turned the tables for himself and will now compete in the quarter-final match tomorrow.

Although, winning against Rublev would be an impressive win for Stephanos. However, this will not be an easy task as Rublev might just be in the form of his life and is on a nine-match winning streak since the US Open.
