Former world number six Chanda Rubin says that the unusual tennis break will help to Serena Williams can win the record-equaling 24th Grand Slam title in the Flushing Meadows, NYC.
In 2017 Australian Open, Serena Williams claimed her 23rd Grand Slam singles title. Followed by Williams has reached finals twice at the Wimbledon and US Open(2018, and 2019). However, The 1996 Australian Open semifinalist Chanda Rubin said, a long tennis hiatus will help Serena Williams to win her unique Grand Slam title at the US Open 2020.
“This process of having to go through some of these uncertainties; I think that can help her relax just a little bit more which might help her get over that last hurdle”
“I think she can [win it] and I certainly think this period of having time off, being able to spend time with her family and her daughter and not having another tournament looming will help her,” Chanda Rubin said on the Sky Sports Interview.
Former American Tennis player Chanda Rubin qualified three times for the fourth round of US Open. She also won seven WTA singles titles in her entire career.
