Professional tennis tours in North America began in the Top seed open in Lexington, Kentucky. American teenager, Coco Gauff also has returned to the court along with Williams sisters Venus and Serena. Moreover, She advanced the next round by beating compatriot Caroline Dolehide in the first round match.
Guaff has played her first international match since the Australian Open 2020 fourth-round exit. However, Rising star defeated her past fellow Dolehide in straight sets(7-5, 7-5) and without making any double faults. And also, she served six aces against the 21-years-old in Lexington hard courts. For this reason, Gauff moves to the second round in the new WTA tournament.

Followed by the straight-set win against the Compatriot Caroline Dolehide, Coco Gauff said in the on-court post-match interview, “It was my first match back since January, and even though I probably didn’t play the best tennis as possible, I think that the attitude and effort was an A.”
She also said, “I’m just out here having fun. Obviously, I want to win, but I’m not going to put pressure on myself to win anything. I just try my best out there on the court every day.”
In the second round match,16-year-old Gauff is going to face the second seed Aryna Sablenka. Belarusian is currently ranking on No.11 in the world. Sablenka won her 6th WTA singles title at the Doha Open in February this year. Furthermore, It will be a rough and tough competition for the world No.53 Gauff.
Coco Gauff eventually said, “I’m just going to approach [the next round] the same as I do every match, wanting to win and hopefully having a good mentality out there.”
