“It Feels Like Sometimes Anger Comes Out of Control”- Close Friend Daniela Hantuchova On Novak Djokovic

Daniela Hantuchova, a close friend of world number one Novak Djokovic expresses her opinion on the disqualification of the Serbian from the US Open. Additionally, she believes that Djokovic has some anger management issues which he needs to solve.

Novak Djokovic was earlier disqualified because of hitting the ball towards the line judge which hit straight to her throat. Hantuchova, while believes that the move was unintended still calls out on frustration and anger of Djokovic. Besides, the incident took place after Djokovic’s serve was broken by his opponent.

Moreover, Daniela was there in the studio during the match. She said, “It feels like sometimes anger comes out of control.”

Moreover, she also added, “I care so much about him and respect everything he is doing for our game, but I just hope there is a lesson to be learned, even if this one came at the worst possible time, where pretty much the only thing standing between him and an 18th grand slam title was himself, with all my respect to the other players.”

“It Is The Timing That He Is Not Getting Right”- Daniela Hantuchova 

Additionally, she also believes that while many times he has the right intention, the timing goes wrong for him. Besides, she also mentioned regarding the Adria Tour, when the play was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said, “So many times he has the right intentions, it is just with the timing that he is not getting right, like the Adria Tour. There is no problem with running an exhibition tour like that, just not when the whole world stops.”

Additionally, she also mentioned the idea of the formation of a new Players’ Association. Recently Djokovic resigned from his position in ATP and is trying to form a breakaway association.

Daniela Hanchutova, the former world number 5 believes that the Serb is not right with the timing. “Same with the ATP stuff. Sure things need to change, but not right now”, she said.
