The Coronavirus pandemic has taken a lot of things from us and also collapsed our day to day activities. Besides, Millions of students can’t attend school this fall. However, Former world number one Serena Williams is giving a helping hand to students to continue their studies.

Serena Williams, as known as the “philanthropist” says that Getting back to school this fall means having #masksforkids to wear. Earlier of this year, She donated her huge prize money for Australia bushfire relief fund. Moreover, Williams shipped 45,000 Face Covers to the Community in need in the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, She took part in the #GiveFromTheCart Challenge to donate 50,000 meals to underserved communities.

The 23 times Grand Slam Champion Serena once again comes forward to help unprivileged people. Especially, this time Williams goes to support school and college students. For this reason, She has partnered with Bella+Canvas, who is one of the biggest textile manufacturers in the USA. 

While Serena is preparing for the US Open 2020, Besides, She is writing on her Instagram page, “I’m teaming up with @bellacanvas, the National School Board Association, and @scholasticinc to donate 4.25 million masks to underserved schools and provide educational materials about masks to 54 million students and all 115,00 schools in the United States.”

“Through the #MasksForKids program, schools can access affordable masks and educational materials, quickly. In addition to donating 4.25 million masks, another mask will be donated for each one purchased by the schools. I’m grateful to be able to help educate our schools about this resource and to be given the opportunity to serve so many students.” Serena Williams concluded.
