A historic win of Rafael Nadal at the Roland Garros in what was a very much one-sided final will be remembered in the minds and hearts of the tennis fans, analysts, and the former players. Additionally, there is no one better than Robin Soderling, who knows a taste of winning against the Spaniard at the Roland Garros.

Besides, Robin is one of the only two men who defeated world number two in Paris. This occasion took place in 2009 when Soderling beat the ”King Of Clay”. It came after Nadal had already won 4 titles in the French Open.

Robin Soderling congratulated Nadal on winning the record 13th Grand Slam at the Roland Garros. In addition to winning the 13th Grand Slam at the Philippe Chatrier court, the Spaniard also equaled Roger Federer’s record of having 20 Grand Slam titles in the tennis career.

In his tweet, Robin said how impressive it is for a tennis player to qualify for the open draw in an event, especially in the French Open. Additionally, Robin has all appreciation for Nadal for achieving such great success.

He wrote, ”Words cannot describe what Rafa has done. Big up, young man.”

Soderling, who retired at an early age in 2015, was the first man to defeat Nadal on the red dirt. Additionally, Nadal’s second defeat came against Novak Djokovic in 2015.

Soderling, who came into prominence after defeating Nadal. Besides, Soderling also has many other historic wins to his name, such as defeating Federer in the quarter-final. Additionally, this defeat stopped Federer from entering the 23rd consecutive sem-final.

Now, with both Federer and Nadal tied at the total number of Grand Slams, what all the tennis fans are waiting for is who will end up having the highest number.
