However, the Greek tennis ace Stefanos Tsitsipas fulfilled one of his dreams after winning the ATP Finals title last year.
In a recent interview ahead of the ATP Finals 2020, Former world number five Tsitsipas expressed his love and expectation for the top eight players event. Additionally, the ATP Finals is now celebrating 50th anniversary as well.
The youngest contestant of the O2 event Stefanos Tsitsipas said, “Every year, I understand, how cool to come to the final. It’s a meeting place for those who have had a great year. This is a holiday where you can enjoy hard work and loyalty to the sport. I am lucky that I have become a part of this celebration.”

While 22-years-old Greek plays decent tennis in the ongoing season, he prevents his position falls at the ATP ranking table. Tsitsipas is currently ranking number six in the world. He continued, “I am grateful for getting into the top eight and the opportunity to defend the title.”
Speaking about his expectation for this year’s London Masters, Stefanos Tsitsipas went on to say, “Of course, the status of the reigning champion is pressing, but I work hard to justify it. I really want to defend the title, this would be the best result of the year.”
However, the defending champion has been handed a tough draw with Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, and Andrey Rublev. In the opening round match, Stefanos Tsitsipas will face US Open champion, and 2019 ATP finals runner-up, Dominic Thiem, on 15th November.
