Coco Gauff Shares Glimpse of Her 17th Birthday Celebration

American rising star Coco Gauff has already begun the 2021 season with a personal history. Meanwhile, she celebrated her 17th birthday on Saturday and received wishes from several celebrities and thousands of fans.

On a special occasion, World No.40 Gauff took to social media to share a glimpse of her birthday celebrations.

Coco Gauff’s Career Highlights 

Since turning a professional in 2018, Coco Gauff has been creating records in the women’s game. Notably, she is the youngest player ranked in the top 100 in the WTA ranking table. Ultimately, American became the youngest singles title holder when she won her first career WTA title at the 2019 Linz Open.

Gauff came into the limelight after upsetting one of her idols Venus Williams in straight sets at the 2019 Wimbledon. And she also became the youngest player in the tournament’s history to qualify for the main draw.

After rallying past defending champion Naomi Osaka at the 2020 Australian Open, a teenager from Florida became the youngest player to beat a top 5 player since the 1991 US Open.

Gauff kicked off the 2021 season at the first WTA tournament of the year, Abu Dhabi Open, where she fell in the second round to Greek Maria Sakkari in the straight-sets.

Afterwards, Coco competed in the Australian Open swing, where she made personal history after reaching a WTA 500 event semifinal for the first time at Adelaide International

Later, in the Middle East swing, Gauff reached the quarterfinal at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships

However, recent reports say that Coco Gauff will resume her season at the Miami Open, which begins on 23rd March.
