Great Britain teen Emma Raducanu claimed her first-ever Grand Slam title at the US Open 2021 without dropping a single set. Subsequently, the 18-year-old created several histories. As a result, celebrities shower praise on her for her colossal achievement.
To enter the main draw of the second major event of the Career, Emma Raducanu powered past Bibiane Schoofs, Mariam Bolkvandze, and Mayer Sherif in straight sets in qualifying rounds in New York.
Brit then outlasted Stefanie Voegele, Zhang Shuai, Sara Sorribes Tormo, Shelby Rogers, Belinda Bencic and Maria Sakkari to book her spot in the maiden Grand Slam Championship match.
Eventually, Raducanu lifted her first Grand Slam title following straight sets(6-4, 6-3) win over Canadian teen Leylah Annie Fernandez. Afterwards, she became the singles qualifier to reach the semifinal and final of the US Open in the Open Era and the youngest since Maria Sharapova in 2005.
Emma also became the first British woman in 53 years to attain the US Open finals after Virginia Wade.
However, Queen Elizabeth, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Gabriela Sabatini, Judy Murray, Simona Halep and Sloane Stephens and many others react to Emma Raducanu’s US Open 2021 victory.
“I send my congratulations to you on your success in winning the United States Open Tennis Championships. It is a remarkable achievement at such a young age and is a testament to your hard work and dedication. I have no doubt your outstanding performance, and that of your opponent Leylah Fernandez will inspire the next generation of tennis players. I send my warmest good wishes to you and your many supporters, “ELIZABETH R wrote on Royal UK.
